We're the ones that handle day-to-day life.
I'm the first alter Addie discovered when exploring her system in 2020, and am sort of the person she was protecting from the world. Of all of us, I have the most contiguous memory of our history. I take care of our social connections outside of work. I'm also the one that spends the most time in the body, so if you've ever met us out and about you probably met me.
Body's age, she/her
+ Making fun things
- Bothering other people with my problems
If we're friends, you've already met me. Outside of work and social gatherings with people that we don't know, I'm usually the one that starts out in front.
Be a friend! To be honest if you're reading this page we're already super friendly so uh, just keep doing what you're doing.Back
We're the ones that help with day-to-day life. When it's not safe to be out and plural, we mask as one of the hosts. Outside of that, though, we're all super different!
Trans tween and techie turbonerd. I came into the system when we were very young and spent a lot of time at my Mom's house. We had a computer there and I did so much QBasic programming, y'all. (I also made the site so of course I get top billing under this heading!)
+ Building computers
+ Building toys, electronics kits, and anything that lets me make things
+ Makeup and pretty outfits
- Growing up a boy
Any time you get us started on the nuts and bolts of tech, computers, or otherwise, you're talking right at me! I think I'm one one of the ones that does makeovers for other trans folk, too.
Build cool stuff! I haven't been around since 1997 and coding is so much easier now. I want to get back into being a techie!Back
I became a part of the system in 2008 because we needed someone who could tackle the challenges of being trans (and being disowned for it) without breaking down. I took over hosting duties from Hal and proptly forgot the system existed until we rediscovered it in 2020. If you're talking to us at any event where we need to be social and easygoing with acquaintences and strangers, I'm the one usually fronting. I am here for good conversation and productive living. I'm also the anxious one, so that's fun. 😂
Body's age, they/them
+ Complicated Games
- Taking breaks
If we've ever interacted in a space where we don't know everybody, you're most likely dealing with me. Also if I'm getting really stuck in cold, emotionless debate mode, that's me too. I'm working on it.
Talk politics or play some super complex board or video games!Back
I came to be in the system in our late teens when we realized we were very very trans. Did a lot of the initial exploration of gender for the system and went to school for part of our freshman year of college. I handle self-care for the system, both in chores and emotional health.
Body's age, she/her
+ Strutting to Showtunes
+ Playing piano and singing
+ Being a huge flirt
- Being reminded of a todo list
- Most video games
If we've cooked for you, you have met me. And if we've talked showtunes at any point of time, that was me too. Also, if we've flirted with you, that's me and I'm not sorry I did it.
Talk showtunes! Flirt! Talk cooking!Back
I performed masculininty for the system when we were younger. The last time I hosted for the system was when we went to an all-male college and I realized Colette was about to blow our cover with all her joy about being a girl. I protect the system from harm. Most of the anger of other system members comes to me, and I work to make sure we engage with it in a healthy way. I also coach the system toward self-improvement.
+ Competitive games (fighters, FPS, etc)
+ Figuring out a problem and solving it
+ Delicious food
- Being ignored
- Pushing down our feelings
- Sharing too much information about the system with people we don't trust
You went to college with us, honestly. I'm also the only one who likes competitive games like League of Legends or any fighting game. If we've suddenly grown stern and start trying to get to "the root of the problem", that's probably me too.
Play fighting games or anything competitive. I'm also the only one in here that plays Overwatch, if that's your jam.Back
I came into the system to keep everyone safe and separate from some very bad things that happened in a home we lived in. But I have good memories, too, and I try to focus on them instead! When the system gets overwhelmed I'm the one that steps in to comfort everyone. But over everything else I'm just here to be a kid!
+ Super fun video games with friends
+ Being a whimsical kid!
- Being a burden on the system because I'm a kid
- People yelling
I only get to meet people that everyone else absolutely trusts.
Do kid stuff. Play Minecraft or other fun co op games. But you have to ask permission from the hosts because they're fuddy duddies about it sometimes.Back
I came into the system when we were getting in trouble for forgetting things all the time, which is sort of a hallmark of having DID. I picked up a lot of notetaking and memory skills to paper over the memory holes the system has. In an attempt to get time away from our family I picked up writing as a hobby, which let me have some nights where bad things weren't happening. I also hold onto some bad memories that the system isn't ready to deal with.
15, any pronouns
+ Making music
+ Quiet nights alone
- Being accused of lying
Anyone who has read the system's fiction has seen my work. When I front it's with very small, trusted groups.
Read our fiction. Talk about notetaking and organization systems.Back
I'm from a very happy time in our life. That's all.
+ Walks in the woods
You probably haven't met me at all but I'd like to meet you if that's okay!
Take walks or work on jigsaw puzzles.Back
We're the ones you will probably never meet becasue of trauma, not wanting to front, or other reasons.
I like biking, getting stuff done, and quiet nights outdoors.
I like stuffies and cartoons
I like fast food and cartoons. Some bad things happened to me that we don't remember yet, and that's okay.
I went to college and handled some things for the system. That's all I'm gonna say for now.
